What we collect when you buy from us, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
77 Autoworks, a sole trader business in Surrey, UK, is the data controller for the information described here. Contact info@77autoworks.co.uk or 07836 290 290.
What we collect, and why
When you place an order we ask for your name, email address, phone number and, if the part is being posted, your delivery address. We ask for these because we cannot fulfil an order without them: we need to send you the part and be able to reach you about it.
Our lawful basis is performance of a contract. If you only enquire about a part rather than buying, we rely on our legitimate interest in answering you.
We do not ask for and never see your card details. Those go directly to SumUp.
Who we share it with
- SumUp, who process the card payment. They receive the amount and an order reference. We receive back whether it was paid.
- The carrier who delivers your part, who receives your name and delivery address.
- PartsCloud, the stock and invoicing system this shop runs on, which stores your order against our account.
We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to anyone for marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep order records, including your contact and delivery details, for six years. That is the period HMRC requires business records to be kept, and it also covers the period in which a dispute about a sale could arise.
Cookies
This site sets one cookie, and only when you use the checkout. It holds a security token that stops your order being tampered with in transit. It is strictly necessary for the checkout to work, so it does not require your consent and there is no banner asking for it.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this site.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete it. Deletion is limited by the record-keeping period above: we cannot delete an invoice we are legally required to keep.
Email info@77autoworks.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
